Welcome to Wade-On
Well, here we are. Welcome to Wade-On.
If you’re wondering about the name, it works on a couple of levels. My name is Wade, so that part was easy. But wading is also what you do when the water gets deep and you can’t move fast — you keep your footing, you take the next step, and you keep going. You wade on.
A while back I was diagnosed with primary lateral sclerosis (PLS), and I had to slow down quite a bit. At least at first. By God’s grace, I’ve been figuring out how to do things differently — how to conserve my energy, how to ask for help, and how to live as best I can with the time He has given me.
Somewhere along the way I realized I had things I wanted to write down. Some of it is about faith. Some of it is funny stories, because if you can’t laugh at life you’re going to have a rough time of it. And some of it is just encouragement, for anybody walking through deep water of their own.
So that’s what this place is. No schedule, no agenda — just whatever the Lord puts on my heart, whenever I have the energy to type it.
And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain. The first things passed away. And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” — Revelation 21:4–5
Thanks for stopping by. Wade on, friend.
